When you are just friends and nothing more there isn’t a strong physical or emotional attraction to each other. You just like hanging out without all the aspects of a relationship. There’s no getting in trouble for talking to other people and there’s no worrying about calling each other all the time. It’s just two people that have a genuine good time together. Dating is way different. There is a strong physical and emotional attraction to each other. You always want to be near each other. You can’t stop thinking about them. You will know when you are more than friends. If one person likes the other and the other doesn’t have the same attraction for you then a friendship doesn’t really work because you will always want more out of it.
