This is hard. I don’t see a future for me. I went to college for 7 yrs, tech, science. And in my field it is hard to get a job. I have been with this company for 2 yrs. and I was laid off yesterday. Now my wife says she’s leaving me and taking the children with her. Does anyone else think I am screwed?

I have a bachelors degree in finance curently but what I really dream of becoming is a veterinary tech or something in that field. Do I have to start all over again in school? Does my current 4 year degree give me a leg up?? I want to talk to someone that’s in the field if possible so that I can lay out the steps to take to get there.
What about just a vet assistant or vet tech?
