We were high school sweethearts. After graduation I became pregnant and we’ve been apart since after our son’s 1st birthday. I loved him but his life was off track & I told him he needed to get it together and when he did come back to his son & me. He called a few times but then drifted off. Life goes on and I dated, fell in love, got married & divorced. I have been single for a year & a half and my life is the best that it has been in a long time. (My son knows my ex-husband was his ‘step’ dad.) Recently while at Classmates.com I realized my son’s father had registered himself. Am I awful to want to know what he’s doing? I wonder if he remembers his son or thinks about him? Or me? Is it ok to feel this? Do I let this lay or send him a message? My friends are mixed. One says do it for my son & to do it for me. The other says don’t do it I’m asking for trouble. What do you think?
