I gave a “so-called” friend a temporary place to stay in my house. He’s been asked to move out at least once a month since he’s been here. He won’t work, won’t help with utilities or rent or anything. He keeps asking for rides and money and drinks all the time. When I’m gone he is sexually harrasing to my girl. Since he moved in I have discovered him to be a convicted felon and that he belongs to a gang. He listens to violent music on my stereo and he is intimidating to be around. I even have suspitions that he’s dealing drugs. My girl and I went to the police to discover what info we could and we were left with the impression that we created the situation we are in and our only option was to evict. Also that if he was dealing drugs that we both were in just as much trouble as he would be by association. How do I get myself out of this mess, safely. I was just trying to be a good person and help someone out. Help! I live in Illinois if anyone has some landlord rights savy
